Web Services (SOA):  All functions that are part of PDM are supported both in batch and with a SOA Web Services layer.  SOA allows you to create and view profiling statistics dynamically in real time.  Additionally, in-house programs are able to call the SOA and execute all PDM functions of profiling and analysis.  This ensures your data governance initiatives are consistently carried out throughout your organization.
